About Us

About Us

QBL Media Pty Ltd (ABN: 73 602 663 141) trading as VideoTranslator, is a Sydney, Australia based media-technology company.

We offer SaaS based AI solutions which help clients significantly increase ROI on existing and future content marketing spend.

Our products and services help clients to train custom AI’s to (a) transcribe, (b) translate, (c) create synthetic voiceovers, and (d) create custom large language models, for text, audio, and video.

Currently, we support 120+ languages, across 150+ dialects, and 150+ distinct voices across a range of synthetic emotions.

Our Why

An initial conversation between the founder, Tat Banerjee, and Indian doctors led to the creation of VideoTranslator in 2017.

Growing up in India, Tat is no stranger to multilingualism. However, in a country with 22 official languages, equal access to information can be a challenge.

Speaking with doctors, a major challenge was that that simple mistranslations would often result in the wrong medication being prescribed, with negative and sometimes fatal side effects for patients.

With so many official languages and thousands of regional dialects in India, multilingualism is a challenge for the healthcare system.

To bridge this gap, which we think of as the 'communication at scale' challenge, the idea of VideoTranslator was born.

Our Mission

For content creators, small businesses, mid-sized corporations, large enterprises and government agencies, we think communication at scale is a major challenge.

We believe that AI powered video transcription, translation, and voice-over can have various use cases for these different market segments.

Our mission is to offer AI based solutions to this 'communications at scale' challenge.

VideoTranslator's team comprises designers, developers, testers, and marketers worldwide. To create even more powerful and user-friendly products, we are constantly striving for improvement.

Our Services

Audio/Video Transcription

VideoTranslators offering allows our clients to upload audio and video content for transcription. We use a variety of AI solutions from cutting edge proprietary offerings from major tech vendors, to open source models - all with the ability to train the AI on your custom vocabulary across hundreds of dialects.

If you were transcribing in English, you would also select from one of 14 different dialects of English - for example, Australian English or Indian English, depending on the accent of the person speaking in the video. Similarly, in Arabic you could pick one of eight dialects, or in Spanish one of twelve dialects. This greatly increases the accuracy of the transcription process.

Text/Video Translation

VideoTranslators offering allows you to customise translation with custom dictionary capabilities across all major languages and their derivatives.

Within our core use case of video, this capability is often used to create video subtitles for your content in dozens of alternative languages substantially increasing the searchability of your content, i.e., boosting your video's SEO.

For more complex workflow's our translation is a critical second step in creating fully translated videos via the AI voiceover / dubbing services.

Audio/Video Voice-Over/Synthetic Dubbing

Depending on their use case, clients have the option to add a synthetic voiceover to their translated video.

For high production value content spend, this means the use of synthetic voices - across gender, age, synthetic emotion and IPA based pronunciation.

Clients use our services to greatly scale their communication efforts by creating targeted end user communications by linguistic subgroup.

Chinese spoken communications in Cantonese or Mandarin, or English communications spoken by a synthetic female 25-34 Indian English AI, these alternatives can greatly boost your campaigns ROI.

Custom Large Language Models (LLMs)

Depending on client requirements, sometimes the outcome needs to be a custom Large Language Model (LLM).

Starting with an open source generative AI, VideoTranslator is able to create, host and deploy custom LLM's. We offer alternatives which can be trained on your data, which sit inside your data centre, preventing loss of data.

Specific to healthcare clients, our solutions allow you to stay current with existing privacy and cybersecurity policies or legal requirements, while still tapping the power of AI for your clients.
